Omaha Leadership Consultant and Coach Co-authors Workbook With Leadership Expert

OMAHA, Neb. Omaha native, Jim Meier*, President of The Training and Consulting Connection (TCC), has co-authored a workbook,
Becoming A Leader We Need, with Michael Maccoby, recognized global expert on leadership. The workbook, based on Maccoby’s most recent book,
The Leaders We Need And What Makes Us Follow (Harvard Business School Press) is particularly relevant for our times. The critical need for a leader to understand the context in which he/she leads is a major theme of the workbook with specific examples from Maccoby’s and Meier’s work with business, education, government, the military and the health care industry. The workbook directly addresses how the understanding of changes in modes of work, the strong emergence of knowledge workers, the major shifts in culture and the identity, temperament, social character and personality types of followers must be wisely applied in order to steer an organization through turbulent, dynamic and uncertain times.Maccoby and Meier will meet between March 9-14 with business and education leaders in Omaha.

* Meier, who specializes in leadership, innovation, change mastery, team development and sports psychology, was selected by Leadership Excellence magazine to its list of top 100 minds in the personal and professional development field. The list includes other notables such as talk show host and entrepreneur Oprah Winfrey, management experts Tom Peters, Ken Blanchard and Stephen Covey, sales consultant, Zig Ziglar and basketball coach, Mike Krzyzewski.
